AVAST32 有全模块化的架构，它的引擎核心可与许多的客户端程序或 Plungin 配合。这软件可以侦测出大量的 Windows 9X/Me 或 Windows NT/XP/2000 环境下的已知病毒，甚至对那些无法直接侦测出的未知或变形病毒也可以。正确的使用防毒程序或数据保全措施（如备份），可以再计算机受到危害时将损失减到最低。
